A safe purchase with Bonava

Buying a new home is one of the biggest decisions of your life. It is full of joy, anticipation and dreams – and sometimes a touch of anxiety. What will happen if I lose my job or am unable sell my current home?

Everyone at Bonava is committed to always offering our customers a safe purchase. Here you can read more about why Bonava is a safe choice, what guarantees we offer.

  • Possession protection applies from the confirmed date of taking possession and up to three months thereafter. If you have not been able to sell your current home and therefore wish to postpone taking possession of your new Bonava home, you can apply for possession protection, which will be granted on a case-by-case basis. Taking possession can be postponed for a maximum of three months.
  • Double housing cost cover protects you from the date of taking possession and up to 12 months thereafter. This protection applies in case you have not succeeded in selling your current home when you take possession of your new Bonava home. Double housing cost protection reimburses your monthly fee to the housing cooperative association and, in the case of single-family houses, the operating costs for your new Bonava home up to a maximum of SEK 20,000 per month.
  • Unemployment cover protects you if you become involuntarily unemployed ahead of the date of taking possession of your new home. You can apply to postpone taking possession of your new home, which will be granted on a case-by-case basis. Taking possession can be postponed for a maximum of nine months.
  • Death cover protects you if you as purchaser, or any child under the age of 18 who is living at home, should die during the period between the signing of the contract and the date of taking possession. This protection covers the cost you may be obliged to pay for withdrawing from the purchase, up to a total amount of SEK 500,000."
  • Tenant-owned association guarantee: When you buy a home from us, you can rest assured that we take responsibility for the tenant-owned association of which you become a member by virtue of your home purchase. A stable association is an essential foundation for a secure purchase.
  • Ownership guarantee: To give you peace of mind while the house is being built, completion protection is included in the purchase. Before your new home is handed over to you, a final inspection will also be carried out at the expense of Bonava.
